JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The man who forced a lockdown of the A-State campus in December wants a change of venue.
Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington says the attorney for Brad Bartelt made the motion for a change of venue Monday in circuit court but it was denied by Judge Tommy Fowler. Judge Fowler may reconsider if there is difficulty in seating a jury in Bartelt's case.
Bartlet is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and other charges for the December 11 incident in which he forced a standoff with authorities on the A-State campus.
