TYRONZA, AR (KAIT) - After several days of rain in Region 8, one flooded town hoped a few days filled with sunshine would dry the water up, but that was not the case.
Some residents in Tyronza cannot seem to catch a break, even on the brighter days.
Steel Bridge Road currently looks like a lake with tadpoles swimming around.
It is washed out, leaving no way in or out for some residents.
Sharon Ashley, who lives on Steel Bridge, said the water is interrupting her daily routine.
"It pretty much stops everything," Ashley said. "You can't do what you want when you need to do it. You have to do it when others can take you to do it."
By others, she means people with large trucks, which she said are few and far between in their town.
Luckily, Ashley has a ride to work and back, but that is all she is able to do.
Poinsett County Judge Bob Cantrell said there is nowhere for the water to drain in that area.
He said the city will work closely with the Corps of Engineers to try and fix the problem.
"We will do what we can to take care of the people the best we can," Cantrell said on Monday.
