CARDWELL, MO (KAIT) -

A Region 8 man was flown to a Memphis hospital Tuesday after crashing his car during a high-speed chase.

John D. Bradley, 34, of Poplar Bluff suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Dunklin County Road 611, one mile north of Cardwell, around 3:45 p.m.

At the time of the crash, Bradley was being chased by a Dunklin County sheriff’s deputy.

According to the crash report, Bradley failed to “yield to emergency equipment.”

His 2000 Pontiac Grand Am traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Investigators say the car then overturned in a field, throwing Bradley from the vehicle.

He was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis with unspecified serious injuries.
