Highway commission announces improvement program

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) -

The Arkansas State Highway Commission announced the release of their Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) Wednesday for 2016-2020.

They invite the public to review and comment on the contents of the plans by May 2.

The STIP can be downloaded here.

The projects listed are the state's highway and transit programs across Arkansas.

The program is consistent with the state's plan that includes roadway, bridge, safety, traffic signal, intersection improvement, and transit projects.

Copies of the draft of the STIP are available by mail when requested through the AHTD Program Management Division. You can contact them at 501-569-2262.
