Italian Minestrone Soup

2 C Kidney or white beans
2 T minced garlic
1 medium onion, chopped
2 stalks of celery, diced
4 C Chicken broth, low sodium and fat free
1 Can tomatoes (14 oz.)
1/2 C Red cooking wine
1 T. Basil
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 t. Pepper
3 medium red potatoes, diced with skins
8 oz. green beans, frozen
2 carrots, diced
2 C Cooked pinwheel or small shell pasta

In a large stock pot add the first 11 ingredients.   Bring to a boil.  Add potatoes, green beans, carrots.  Cook about one hour or until vegetables are tender.  Add past and serve.  Makes 12 - 14 servings.
