JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - More money and a name change are coming to this year's BBQ festival.
The Jonesboro Advertising and Promotions Commission held a special meeting Thursday to discuss this year's downtown festival.
Tim McCall with the festival asked for $50,000 to pay for entertainment.
McCall told commission members good bands draw good crowds.
":Having a little bit more money to provide to try to get a bigger and better act here in Jonesboro will help us out a lot this year," McCall said.
The commission approved the motion.
In addition, the festival will now be called the Jonesboro Advertising and Promotions Music and BBQ Festival.
