STEELE, MO (KAIT) - A police department continues to investigate two fires, one of which is considered arson.
The first, according to the Steele Police Department Facebook page, happened at 2016 Bates Street on March 6.
Chief Billy Joe Stanfield states the house was vacant and the cause was found to be "suspicious and arson is suspected."
The other fire was at 405 N. First Street. It happened on March 11.
While on patrol, officers reportedly seen "smoke and flames coming from a trailer." Fire crews arrived quickly and put out the fire.
Stanfield states the trailer was a complete loss.
