CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Bridge of Hope Children's Home in Cross County is in need of more space to store food.

Owner Martha Watts says they received a $2,000 grant from the Arkansas Community Foundation to get a walk-in freezer.

Watts says they have had to turn down donated food in the past because there was not enough space.

Right now, the children's home can hold up to 24 children.

She hopes to get the storage space so they can accept more children.

"My interest is maybe this summer or the early part of next year is to increase the size and have the boys on one end and the girls on the other and raise it from 24 to maybe 30," said Watts.

Watts said she is thankful for the people and organizations who have donated.

Anyone interested in donating to the Bridge of Hope Children's Home can call (870) 238-9302.
