Two arrested after drugs found in parolee's home

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A routine home visit lands a parolee and another man behind bars.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Tuesday afternoon after sheriff’s investigators and the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections conducted a routine visit at a parolee's home.

Officers found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia at the home located on County Road 458.

Officers arrested Johnnie Joe Collins, 53, and Frank D. Collins, 51, when they found Carisoprodol, Colnazepam, smoking pipes, syringes and a marijuana grinder.

Officers charged Johnnie Collins with parole violation, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Frank Collins was also charged with possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both are in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $3,500 bond with the new charges. Johnnie Collins is being held without bond for the parole violation.
