PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Residents in Paragould are frustrated with graffiti in the city.

Several buildings are marked with spray painted symbols, letters, phrases and faces.

Some building with the markings are vacant, but some are occupied.

Residents told Region 8 News the graffiti is an eye sore and annoying, especially when the city and Main Street Paragould are working to improve the look of downtown.

Chase Crews and his wife said they want people to stop vandalizing the area.

Crews said not only is it an eye sore, but some of the markings are inappropriate.

"Some of the stuff downtown is some vulgar stuff, I don't know if you have seen it but like body parts and it is just getting pretty bad," Crews said.

Residents also said some people break windows in the vacant buildings around Paragould.

Crews said he just wants people to stop disrespecting the town.

"Grow up and stop destroying other people's stuff," Crews said.
