KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Two people were arrested in Kennett in unrelated cases.

According to the Kennett Police Department, officers responded to Family Dollar in reference to a shoplifter leaving the store.

Officers later arrested Martez D. Smith, 26, of Kennett for shoplifting.

Smith also had a warrant in Dunklin County for aggravated stalking.

He was taken to the Dunklin County Jail and his bond was set at $30,000.

In an unrelated case, Kennett officers responded to Hardee's Monday in reference to an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru.

Officers arrested Cliftaney Harrington, 34, of Kennett for driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.
