JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A police officer pulled over a man early Saturday morning for no brake lights, but later arrested him and a woman at the driver's home.
Jonesboro police pulled over 36-year-old Jason Woods near the intersection of Bridge and Johnson.
The report stated Woods was on parole.
After the officer searched his truck and found nothing illegal, he asked Woods if he had anything illegal at his house.
That is when Woods went from "very relaxed" to having a whole different demeanor, according to the incident report.
The officer took Woods to his home, located in the 1600-block of Tonya, to do a parole search.
Jamie Gower, 38, was sleeping in a bed, and next to her on a nightstand was a coin purse with several broken pills believed to be Ambien, Tylenol 3 with codeine, and one Hydrocodone.
On the other side of the bed was a blue box with methamphetamine, half of a straw, two scales, and a container with white powder residue in it.
Both were arrested and taken to the Craighead County jail.
Woods is being held for a parole hold.
Gower was cited on the following charges:
- non-reporting to jail
- three counts of non-payment of fines
- possession of Schedule I less than 2 grams
- possession of Schedule II less than 2 grams
- possession of Schedule III less than 2 grams
- possession of Schedule IV less than 28 grams
