JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man hanging out in his front yard was threatened with a knife by a driver who pulled up to his home.

It happened around 2 p.m. Saturday in the 900-block of Cottonbelt.

The homeowner told police a man pulled up to his home asking if a certain woman lived there.

The man said that woman was his daughter and the driver claimed she owed him money.

According to the report, the man started making threats towards the homeowner’s daughter.

That is when the homeowner told the suspect to get off his property.

The suspect then started throwing rocks and threatening the woman’s father.

After the homeowner told the man to get off his property again, the man pulled out a knife and chased him around the house.

The report stated the driver said, “I am going to cut you up, old man.”

The woman’s father backed the man into the street.

He admitted to police that he kicked the driver’s vehicle until the man finally got in it and left.

The victim described the vehicle as a late model gray Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Jonesboro Police told Region 8 News that they are currently looking for the man who did this.
