POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) -

Two Region 8 men faces drug charges after Randolph County Authorities executed a search warrant on a Pocahontas home.

According to a police affidavit, officers with the Pocahontas Police Department, Arkansas Community Correction, and Randolph County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 700 block of Davis Cove.

During the search, officers came in contact with the homeowner, Toby Manciaz and Jackie Keas, a visitor.

According to the affidavit, informants previously purchased drugs from the residence.

During the search, officers found two baggies, numerous new and used syringes, glass pipes with burn residue, other drug paraphernalia, and a small ceramic cup containing a crystal substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine in a field test, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit also states officers found a green leafy substance and a medicine bottle with several different pills while searching Manciaz.

Manciaz told officers that this would make him a first time offender.

Manciaz and Keas were taken to the Randolph County jail where a jailer later found a bag of crystal meth in Manciaz’s sock, according to the affidavit.

Manciaz was asked if he had anything illegal on him before being transported to jail and he stated no.
