Man faces charges after spitting, threatening jail officials

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Hoxie man faces new charges after he was first brought in to the Lawrence County Jail on misdemeanor warrants.

Detective Jaime White told Region 8 News when Charles Manus was brought in Sunday, he was intoxicated and belligerent.

White stated Manus became argumentative and spit on some of the jailors.

He said Manus also threatened to kill those jailors after he got out of jail.

Manus faces charges of terroristic threatening and aggravated assault of a jail employee.

White said he was given a $5,000 cash-only bond.
