KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Firefighters had to take a different approach to extinguish a shed fire in Dunklin County Monday afternoon because of what was inside it.
According to Kennett Fire Marshal Paul Spain, firefighters responded to the fire at 13601 County Road 501.
A shed located at the corner of the property was engulfed in flames.
Firefighter Robert Moore said the crew had to take an indirect approach to the fire because of a gun collection inside the building.
Ammunition was heard going off during the fire.
No one was injured and crews were eventually able to safely extinguish the blaze.
