JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two men who had to be rescued from a flooded ditch in south Jonesboro later found themselves behind bars.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jonesboro police were dispatched to South Stadium Boulevard in response to a vehicle that ran off the roadway and into a water-filled ditch.
Zachary Swindle and passenger Seth Dudley told police that they hydroplaned and ran off the road.
In his report, Officer Nathan Coleman stated he ran Swindle and Dudley's name and found they both had active warrants through the Jonesboro Police Department.
The two were then arrested and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center.
Swindle was charged with two counts of contempt of court non-payment of fines, contempt of court public service work and failure to appear.
Swindle was given a cash bond of $1,655 and a surety bond of $765. He will appear in court on April 4.
Dudley was cited for three counts of contempt of court, non-payment of fines and two counts of contempt of court public service work. Per Dudley's probation officer, he was placed on probation hold.
Dudley was given a cash only bond of $1,259. He will also appear in court April 4.
