JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Current and future business leaders filled Centennial Hall at A-State Thursday for the second annual Women's Business Leadership Conference.
Professional women and A-State students gathered to participate in a series of discussions and workshops.
The purpose of the event was to inspire future business leaders and educate them on issues they could face.
"Help educated them to be sensitive to the issues," Dr. Karen McDaniel, a member of the conference committee, said. "How to deal with them, how to work with different personality types and just to make it a better working place for everyone."
McDaniel said they were also excited to see so many male students in attendance.
Marketing major Mackensie Nutt said a conference like this is a great opportunity for students.
"Really, it just helps to build us up and increases our knowledge through something more than just a classroom experience," Nutt said. "This is really neat to get together with our peers, with our faculty members, with our professors and get to hear that they really want to invest and care about what our future looks like."
Around 600 people participated in the conference.
