JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police hope surveillance video will help identify a man who shut off the power at a Jonesboro bank.

On Saturday, a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue-tipped shoes, switched off the master power at Centennial Bank, 211 E. Washington.

A 16-year-old witness told police he was walking in the area when he saw the power to the bank go out.

He then said he saw a man running away from the south side of the building.

The witness said the man ran across Washington toward East Street.

When officers checked the south side of the bank, they reported finding the master power control box slightly open. The master power was turned off.

The bank manager, who was called to the scene, told police “everything seemed normal and that nothing was out of place.”

She told officers she would meet with her supervisor to see if the bank’s security cameras captured anything that could identify the suspect.
