JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission Tuesday approved bids to improve two roadways in Craighead County.
Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded a $278,778.68 contract to resurface one mile of State Highway 49 between Old Bridger Road and Paragould Drive in Jonesboro, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.
Atlas Asphalt was also awarded a $176,865.27 contract to resurface two miles of County Road 21 between State Highway 349 and Jonesboro.
Construction on both projects is expected to begin in two to four weeks.
Completion is expected mid-year.
