Crash kills one, injures minor

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A wreck in Clay County left one person dead and injured a minor Wednesday afternoon.

According to an Arkansas State Police crash report, the wreck happened along Highway 67, north of Corning around 3 p.m.

The reported stated the vehicle struck an embankment and threw the driver, Darean N. Burns, 21, of Corning from the car.

Burns was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger, a minor, was injured and airlifted to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

ASP reported the road was wet and it was raining at the time of the crash.
