April 13 Update: The Blytheville Police Department has arrested one man for a bank robbery earlier this week.

According to Captain Scott Adams, police arrested Maleke Dority, 19, of Blytheville for robbing Southern Bancorp, 1040 East Main. Dority is accused of robbing the bank and stealing $60 from a cash drawer Monday morning.

Dority was arrested shortly after. He's set to appear in court Thursday.

Blytheville police are searching for a man who robbed a local bank Monday morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. officers responded to a robbery call at Southern Bancorp, 1040 East Main.

Bank employees told police a black man wearing a red and black jacket passed a note to an employee demanding all the money.

When workers opened the cash drawer, police say the man reached over the counter and stole approximately $60.
