JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are searching for three people who stole several thousand dollars’ worth of jewelry from Sissy’s Log Cabin.

The theft was reported around 1:14 p.m. Thursday.

According to Jonesboro police, the thieves stole $36,000 worth of earrings from the high-end store, located at 2900 Parkwood Road.

JPD released surveillance video of a man and woman who are seen running from the main desk out a door. The female is believed to have taken the jewelry.

Investigators say one person remained in the car while the two suspects came into the store.

The suspects were last driving away in a blue Hyundai Santa Fe with California license plates.

An employee, who carries a firearm on his side, chased the suspects out of the store and told police he drew his weapon and ordered the suspects to stop.

The suspects kept driving, almost hitting the employee.

Anyone with information that can help police, call Crimestoppers at (870) 935-STOP.
