Sheriff's office investigating torched Jeep

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Craighead County sheriff's deputies want to know who ditched a Jeep and set it on fire.

Just before 6 a.m. Deputy Mike Lawrence responded to a burned vehicle call on County Road 423.

When he arrived, he reported finding a burned Jeep Grand Cherokee with its front end in the ditch.

According to Lawrence's report, it appeared the vehicle had been intentionally set on fire.

The damage was so great, Lawrence said he was unable to get a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or a license plate number.
