PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Volunteers from various groups around Paragould helped clean up the town during a clean up event Saturday.

One project included in the event is the community garden at Mission Outreach.

Workers spent the morning digging post holes and preparing the garden for planting.

Crystal Carter, a volunteer with Centennial Bank, says she likes how useful the garden will be for those at Mission Outreach.

"It's sustainable, it helps them get involved in to the situation. Not only do they help with everything but watering, fertilizing, planting; it just helps them," says Crystal Carter.

Jeremy Biggs with Mission Outreach says they hope to have seeds in the ground this summer.

Families Incorporated and Mission Outreach were very excited to see so many groups get involved with the project.
