3 injured in crash near AR, MO state line

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

A southeast Missouri crash injured two Paragould residents along with a Jonesboro man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Scotty D. Brooks, 35, of Paragould, was heading east on Highway 412 near the Arkansas-Missouri state line.

Brooks stopped on the road at around 3:10 p.m. Sunday and Brinkley L. Joe, 51, of Monette, hit him from behind.

An ambulance took Brooks to the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro with moderate injuries.

The crash also injured Tommy G. Haynes, 42, of Jonesboro and Holly I. Milliken, 33, of Paragould.

An ambulance took both of them to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

The truck Brooks was driving received moderate damage. However, the crash did total the truck Brinkley drove.

According to the report, crews didn't treat Brinkley for injuries.

All those involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
