Man flees traffic stop, wanted by police

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man is wanted for fleeing and other charges after a Sunday evening traffic stop.

According to a Jonesboro Police Department incident report, an officer saw a car driving on Warren Street going 31 mph in a 20 mph zone.

After stopping the vehicle and getting the suspect's driver's license and insurance, the officer walked back to his patrol car but noticed the passenger got out of the car with his hands in the air.

The report stated the passenger told the officer that he didn't want anything to do with this.

That's when Antonio Davis, 43, of Jonesboro sped off at a high rate of speed.

The passenger was taken into custody but was later released after he gave a witness statement.

Officers later spoke with Davis's wife, who is the owner of the car, and she told police that they were not together anymore.

She also stated Davis told her to come pick up the car at his girlfriend's house on Sharron Cove but when officers arrived there, he was nowhere to be found.

Davis's parole officer was contacted and his driver's license and proof of insurance were logged into evidence.

Davis is wanted for fleeing, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.

If you have any information on Davis's whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at (870) 935- STOP
