GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Safety concerns have arisen in Greene County after several road signs were stolen.
Greene County Judge Rusty McMillan said nearly 100 signs have been stolen since the beginning of the year.
McMillan says this is a public safety issue because a lack of signage in certain areas around the county could be dangerous for drivers.
Another issue for McMillan is the cost to replace the signs.
He estimated it would cost $250 to replace each sign, which he says affects the money the department has allocated for signage.
McMillan said the Greene County Sheriff's Department has been notified about the incidents.
