JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Multiple gunshots rang out in a Jonesboro neighborhood Monday night, now police are searching for the culprits.
Around 7:30 p.m. police were called to the 3400-block of Sun Avenue regarding "suspicious activity."
As officers arrived on the scene they saw "multiple people and vehicles leaving the area," according to the initial incident report.
Then they heard several gunshots to their south.
Police then sped to the intersection of Fairview and Westacre where they found multiple homes shot up.
According to the report, one woman reported two bullet holes in her house, plus one in her car.
Two other women had three bullet holes in her homes.
Another woman claimed a bullet ricocheted off the tailgate of her car.
While one officer photographed all of the bullet holes, another collected shell casings.
According to the report, officers found 17 9mm shell casings at the scene. It appeared they had been fired from two different firearms.
The report listed two men, ages 21 and 17, as possible suspects.
