Blytheville police investigate Monday shooting

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police are investigating a shooting Monday afternoon that injured one person.

According to a press release from Captain Scott Adams with the Blytheville Police Department, officers were advised of a shooting in the 900-block of Dixie street around 12:40 p.m.

Officers arrived and realized there were actually two scenes. The other was in the 900-block of Rollison.

While on scene, officers were told the victim, 23-year-old Isaiah Clark, was at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Clark told police he was at his apartment with some people when "the offender came by wanting to cause problems," according to the release.

Clark said he told the subject to leave. He said he then noticed a red Impala parked at the intersection of McDaniels and Dixie.

He said someone in that vehicle got out and started shooting.

Evidence at the scene indicated that shots were fired from both the vehicle and Clark's location.

Officers recovered several casings and two guns hidden inside the car's grill.

Police also found the car that took Clark to the hospital, which had several bullet holes in it.

Officers secured the car and found about 30 grams of marijuana in it.
