Businesses fined for selling to minors

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Alcoholic Beverage Control board fined several businesses, including a downtown Jonesboro restaurant, for selling booze to minors.

During its meeting on Wednesday, April 20, the board fined Sully’s, 303 S. Main Suite A, $300 and placed it on 90 days probation for furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor.

Other businesses cited for selling to minors included:

  • Gary’s Food Mart #2, 604 W. Keiser, Osceola:  $300 fine, 90 days probation
  • Jordan’s Kwik Stop #11, 104 Hwy. 63 B, Marked Tree:  $350 fine, 90 days probation
  • Jordan’s Kwik Stop #14, 130 Hwy. 135, Lepanto:  $300 fine, 90 days probation
  • PJ’s Food Mart #2, 229 Walnut, Osceola:  $300 fine, 90 days probation
  • Osceola Exxon, 900 W. Keiser, Osceola:  $300 fine, 90 days probation
  • Tobacco Superstore #70, 910A W. Keiser, Osceola:  $300 fine, 90 days probation

According to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration website, the businesses have until May 10 to pay their fines or their permits will be suspended.
