Watermelon Festival entertainment announced

CAVE CITY, AR (KAIT) -

The Cave City Watermelon Festival announced its 2016 entertainment lineup Thursday.

This year’s headliners includes three nationally recognized artists.

The JJ Weeks Band, will headline the festival on Thursday, August 11. Their music has been featured on the official soundtracks for the films “God’s Not Dead” and “Four Blood Moons.”

Arkansas native, Barrett Baber, who was a finalist on NBC’s The Voice will cap off Friday night’s entertainment.

Grammy-winning Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives will headline Saturday night, rounding out the 37th Cave City Watermelon Festival.

Other notable acts include the Lockhouse Orchestra, David Lynn Jones, Sonny Burgess and the Legendary Pacers, Triple Nickel, Luke Stroud and the 50's Beat and Maggie Thorn.

More performers will also be announced later.

Admission to the festival is free. The main stage entertainment will be at the Cave City Park.

Artisans, food and craft vendors, and kid's activities will be set up around the park.
