JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police say a dog bit a man, who was later taken to the hospital for his injuries in the attack.
It happened Thursday night in the 4200-block of Knollcrest.
The 21-year-old man's mother told Jonesboro police the Husky came to her yard while the owner of the dog was following behind trying to catch it.
The woman said the owner asked her son to help catch the dog, according to a report.
When the victim reached for the collar, "the dog turned and bit him on the arm" and then began shaking him.
The man was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center, where he was treated for puncture wounds to his hand and arm.
The owner of the dog, Kevin Thomas, 34, was cited for harboring a dangerous animal, no state rabies, and dog at large.
The Husky was taken to Jonesboro Animal Control where it will be quarantined for 10 days.
