MARKED TREE, AR (KAIT) -

MAY 20 UPDATE: According to autopsy results, Kenneth Parish died of natural causes.

Marked Tree police are awaiting the results of an autopsy after finding a man’s body by a river.

Police received a 911 call from someone saying they thought they saw a body.

The body was found on the northeastern part of Marked Tree in a tent off Highway 308 along the Little River.

The man was identified as 56-year-old Kenneth Parish.

Marked Tree Police Chief Jerry Lung said the Parish’s family had not seen or heard from him in 11 days.

Lung said he was found in a secluded fishing area that the family said Parish spent a lot of time.

Parish’s body has been sent to the state crime lab in Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
