Woman charged with endangering welfare of a minor

OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) - A woman was arrested in Osceola Thursday afternoon after police say she broken into a woman's house and assaulted her while a baby was in the room.

According to a press release from the Osceola Police Department, Daija Jarrett broke into a woman's home and reportedly pointed a revolver at her.

The victim told police she was sitting on the bed, holding her baby when Jarrett came into her room and held the gun to her face.

A witness that was in the room said he watched Jarrett cock the hammer of the gun back.

That man got between the two women to try to end the fight. Jarrett then left the house.

Jarrett was arrested Friday. She reportedly told police she did go into the victim's home but denied having a gun.

She is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor and aggravated residential burglary.
