Boil water order lifted for Caraway

Boil water order lifted for Caraway

The City of Caraway is no longer under a boil order.

Terry Couch, water superintendent for the city, told Region 8 News on Friday the order was lifted after lab results on water samples came back.

The City of Caraway wants residents to know there is a boil order in place.

City Superintendent Terry Couch tells Region 8 News the order is a precautionary measure.

Couch said Caraway police called him at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday about water spilling onto the street.

He shut down the water for the entire city around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

About an hour later, he turned the water back on.

Couch said he'll collect 3 water samples, as required by the health department, and send those samples to the lab in Paragould.

He expects to get the results 24 hours after submitting them.
