Award-winning bicycle tour returns this fall

TYRONZA, AR (KAIT) - An award-winning bicycle tour will be returning for its eighth edition this fall in Tyronza Arkansas.

The Tour duh Sunken Lands bicycle tour will be hosted by the Memphis Hightailers bicycle club which will manage the registration process.

The Southern Tenant Farmers Museum in downtown Tyronza will be the starting point and finish line for the event.

The event begins at 10 a.m. on Nov. 5.

Registration is $45 per rider prior to Oct. 1 and $50 beginning Oct. 2.

The registration fee includes admissions to all the museums along the 50-mile path, the post-ride meal, and a tee-shirt.

Among the rest stops, participants will see:

  • Johnny Cash Boyhood Home in Dyess
  • A-State Heritage Site at Dyess Colony
  • The Painted House featured in the Lifetime movie of the John Grisham novel in Lepanto
  • Marked Tree Area Museum
  • Rivervale Siphons

Proceeds from the event will benefit programs of the Sunken Lands Chamber of Commerce.
