BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Main Street Blytheville will hold their annual fundraising event this weekend.
After the group lost their funding from the city, they decided to reach out to the public for donations to help bring Main Street back to what it once was.
According to Executive Director of Main Street Blytheville Tucker Nunn, the way for Blytheville to prosper is to bring back retail.
"If we have good plans and strategic plans and plans of action, we will find funds for that," Nunn said. "There's funds that we can get from the federal government, from private corporations, Main Street Arkansas."
Nunn also says that it boils down to a community rallying together to help Main Street continue to grow.
The fundraising event starts Friday night and ends Saturday night by the bus station downtown.
