VAN BUREN COUNTY, AR -

A Fulton County man was arrested after sheriff’s deputies found drugs in his vehicle.

Deputies are also searching for another man in the case.

According to a Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office press release, deputies saw a vehicle on U. S. Highway 65 south of Choctaw “driving erratically” on April 19.

Deputies tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver would not stop and started speeding to avoid them.

During the pursuit, deputies saw passengers in the vehicle throwing items out of the window.

The Clinton Police Department helped in the chase and tried to slow down the vehicle by getting in front of it.

The vehicle eventually wrecked close to downtown Shirley.

Two of the people in the vehicle were treated for their injuries and another fled from the scene.

Deputies found several bags containing around 15 ounces of what they believed to be meth with a value around $43,000.

Deputies identified one of the riders as 34-year-old Jeremiah Turman of Viola.

Turman was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and a probation hold out of another county.

Turman is being held in the Van Buren County Detention Center on a $35,000 bond.

Police are now looking for 44-year-old Jason Krunsick of Mountain Home, who fled from the scene.
