JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro will soon have two new businesses challenging its customers to “escape”.

Escape rooms are a new concept of interactive games and they are gaining popularity across the country.

Participants work in teams to solve puzzles, find objects and use clues to work their way out of the room and “escape”.

According to a Facebook post, Jonesboro Escape will open sometime in May.

Construction is finished on the building at 5510 Southwest Drive and crews are working to build the rooms.

It will open with three rooms: Twisted Toy Room, The Tourist and The Laboratory.

The business said it plans to periodically change the rooms to different themes.

A second business will also bring escape rooms to Jonesboro.

Lockdown: The Escape Room is under construction at 3215 Shelby Drive.

According to its Facebook page, it will open in late spring or early summer.

It will open with three room as well: Mafia Rat, Motel 13 and Psych Ward.
