Police investigating prescription forgeries

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are searching for two suspects who got away with drugs from forged prescriptions.

Kroger Pharmacy, 1725 South Caraway, called police Friday night after they received the same prescription from two different men, signed by the same doctor.

According to the incident report, a pharmacy employee contacted the doctor, who said he did not prescribe the two prescriptions consisting of 240 ml of Promethazine-Codeine.

The doctor reportedly told officers that the doctor said about seven similar prescriptions with his name on them passed in the last few days.
