Police searching for Walmart thieves

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are searching for three suspects involved in a Walmart robbery.

It happened Thursday night at the Walmart on Highland Drive.

According to an incident report, on Friday an employee told police two black females and one black male "obtained loaded vanilla Visa Cards."

The suspects reportedly went through a checkout line and asked the cashier to load $500 on the cards.

They appeared to be paying for them with a debit card; however, when asked for the pin number, the suspects hit the "cancel" button instead.

This caused the cashiers drawer to open, indicating the transaction was complete.

The report stated that the suspects got away with ten cards each loaded with $500 without actually paying for them.

Police stated the three suspects have also been seen doing the same scam at the Walmart on Parker Road in Jonesboro and the Walmart in Paragould.
