Police: Jonesboro woman stabs brother

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested a woman who stabbed her brother Saturday afternoon.

According to an incident report, Angela Kitchens, 44, admitted to police she stabbed her brother following an argument.

Police saw several drops of blood on the floor at the home where it happened in the 200-block of Belt Street.

Kitchens had small cuts on her face and blood on her shoes.

The 44-year-old told police she and her boyfriend were fighting and that is when her brother stepped in.

Kitchens bit him, and then she told police that the victim hit her to get her off of him.

That is when she grabbed two steak knives and stabbed him in the hand.

Witnesses were able to take the knives from Kitchens.

Both Kitchens and her brother were taken to the hospital for treatments.

Kitchens was later arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

She faces charges on an aggravated assault on a family member and second degree domestic battery.
