GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Greene County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man they say stole hundred of thousands of dollars worth of scrap metal.
According to Sheriff David Carter, a deputy stopped 44-year-old James Gilbee of Paragould because he already had a bench warrant out for his arrest.
Gilbee was taken into custody.
Deputies then obtained a search warrant for his house, where they found the metal.
"Out back in the shed we found hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property from a local factory here, Anchor Manufacturing," Sheriff Carter said.
Carter said multiple items were stolen, including ten busbars, worth over $10,000 each; scrap metal; cases of penetrating oil; tools and large industrial rolls of toilet paper.
Gilbee now faces a felony theft charge. His bond set at $35,000.
He is due in court June 27.
