CAVE CITY, AR (KAIT) - A pair of black bears were running around Cave City Monday.
A young bear was photographed in a neighborhood and was also spotted at the dock entrance of Hometown Market.
According to Justin Wilson with the Cave City Fire Department, they have tracked the baby bear to the Cave City park.
The baby bear spent much of Monday around the park and in the area of South Street, but Wilson said the momma bear is also somewhere around town.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission reportedly told local emergency crews to leave the bears alone because they are not aggressive.
Many people in town said they were not concerned about the bear, but excited about it.
Many said on Tuesday that they went searching for the bear.
Sherry Ramos explained to Region 8 News why she wanted to see it.
"It's just something new," Ramos said. "It's nothing you see everyday. I live in the country and I've seen bears before but to see it while you're at work or on the pavement is kind of strange."
There were a few people who said they were not so excited about the animals being in town.
Some who saw the bear said they took off in the other direction instead of going after it.
