Storm damage reported in Region 8

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - There has already been some damage reported from storms moving into Region 8.

According to Fulton County Dispatch, there has been some wind damage.

Straight-line winds have been estimated at 60 to 80 miles per hour.

There are several trees blown down across roads in the county. Dispatch could not tell us exactly which roads those were at this time.

Dispatch also said there is a tree down on at least one house.

There are power outages being reported across the county also.

Ripley County dispatch told Region 8 News they also have trees and power lines down.

It's unknown if there is any building damage at this time.

There are outages reported across Ripley and Randolph Counties also.

According to the Entergy Arkansas outage map, there are about 1,000 customers without power in Cherokee Village.

There is also a tree down on Highway 175 near Wirth. That tree is blocking the road at this time.

There are also power lines and trees down in Izard County.

Izard County dispatch said there are trees and power lines down on West Road and a tree blocking the street on Dolph Road.

Crews are at both scenes to try and reopen the roads.
