Warrants, not words, land man in jail

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A man accused of standing outside a Jonesboro woman's house, yelling sexually-suggestive comments in Spanish, wound up in jail on multiple warrants.

Shortly before 8:30 Tuesday night Officer Blake Anderson responded to a suspicious person call in the 2400-block of Mary Jane.

The victim said the suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Tommy Trevino, had been "yelling sexual things at her across the street."

The victim, according to the initial incident report, said several children were outside playing at the time.

When questioned by Anderson, Trevino denied the accusations and claimed he did not even know the woman.

Upon learning Trevino was wanted on several warrants through Jonesboro, Marked Tree and Jackson County, Anderson arrested him and took him to the Craighead County Detention Center.

According to the incident report, Trevino was cited for the Jonesboro warrants. Holds were placed on him for Marked Tree and Jackson County.
