Heber Springs woman sentenced for Medicaid fraud

HEBER SPRINGS, AR (KAIT) - A Cleburne County woman was sentenced Thursday in Little Rock after she pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud.

Jessica Eddy, 36, of Heber Springs will serve three years' probation and pay a fine of $2,041.20, according to an email from Attorney General Leslie Rutledge.

Eddy was also ordered to pay $680.40 in restitution to the Arkansas Medicaid Program Trust Fund.

According to Rutledge, Eddy billed the Arkansas Medicaid Program for services that were not rendered, including two occasions while she was in jail.
