Organization donates vest to Clay Co. deputy K9

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A K9 deputy with the Clay County Sheriff's Department now has new body armor.

According to the department's Facebook page, the non-profit Vested Interest in K9s donated a bullet and stab protective vest to K9 Marko.

Jane Dallas of Tuscola, IL sponsored the vest.

It's also embroidered with the sentiment, "In memory of Kye. Oklahoma City Police Department".

The sheriff's department said Deputy K9 Marko became a member of its department June 2015.

On the page, the department said it's very thankful for the non-profit and Dallas' support.
