BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Batesville High School students received a special day of team-building activities for being outstanding students.

The event was held on Monday and was sponsored by FNBC Bank.

The event recognized students who were selected as "Student of the Month" over the past academic year at Batesville High School.

For their reward, FNBC Bank covered the cost for students to travel to Loco Ropes in Mountain View.

Students spent the day going through the ropes course and participating in team-building activities like the “trust fall.”

"We were really pleased to get to be a part of this program this year," said FNBC Bank Community President Mark Skelton. "These young men and women work hard all year and achieve their goals in the classroom. It's a lot of fun to get to provide them with a day to celebrate their accomplishments, as well as participate alongside them and get to know them better."

To be nominated as student of the month, each student must use class time wisely, complete classwork and homework in a timely manner, be honest and trustworthy, receive no referrals for the nominating month, and not be absent more for more than three class periods in any class.
